Getting going again
I have never been to a gym, but I imagine it is rather like writing a blog. You finally take the plunge and sign up for something you’ve always been meaning to do. You start with great enthusiasm and the best intentions. You’ll definitely do it at least once a week, maybe even more. After a while, something else urgent disturbs your schedule and you miss a week. And then another. Before you realise it, it’s been a month. After such a time, another day or two won’t make much difference, will it? The days become weeks, and getting started again seems a real effort.
I’m sorry it’s been so long, but finally, we’re back. It should not really be too hard. After all, a blog can be trivial froth, a mere zabaglione, compared to the challenge of maintaining an important reference website. I am really grateful, then, to Pablo Vinuesa, for finding the time and energy to refurbish the website that he runs for the International Subcommittee on the Taxonomy of Rhizobium and Agrobacterium. This is an important resource for all of us who work on rhizobia, providing a list of current species with links to the literature, as well as a wealth of useful information on taxonomy and phylogeny.
I urge you all to visit the website, and then to write to Pablo and tell him how wonderful it is, and even what he could add to make it better still:
